One of the recurring themes coming out of the recent Patient Participation Group open meeting and appointment survey is the difficulty patients sometimes have accessing appointments- specifically the difficulty being online at 8.30am to access the EMIS Online appointments. We are therefore trialling a new system whereby a proportion of appointments become available for the week ahead at 8pm (this will be in addition to the current 8.30am unblocking). To begin with the proportion of appointments becoming unblocked at 8pm will be small but will increase depending on demand / availability of appointments for those not using the online system.
